About the Role

The Medical Billing Support Advocate (MBSA) is the member of our Medical Billing Team that is responsible for maintaining, updating and supporting our entire team within our Medical Billing Support Team at Dentistry Support LLC, TM. The MBSA works closely with their Team lead and Director as well as other members of the leadership team. As one of the most critical and essential positions within an organization, the MBSA must be a skilled communicator, extremely detailed team member and driven businessperson who can spur Dentistry Support’s Medical Billing Team to grow by way of customer service, grace, accuracy in reporting, honesty and camaraderie with the team. This position is especial vital to not only the team but to our clients at Dentistry Support, LLC TM.

Daily Commitments

  1. Responsible to all aspects of Medical Billing Support.

  2. Submit dental claims in all dental software's (will train)

  3. Submit medical for dental claims in Dentistry Support, LLC TM Proprietary software.

  4. Complete billing schedule according to office specific schedule

  5. Complete payment posting

  6. Contact patients

  7. Revenue Cycle Management and follow through with regard to Medical Billing Specifically

  8. Complete comprehension of Appeals, Refiles, Disputes, Escalations, Claims, Statements with regard to medical billing

  9. Understand and articulate a Explanation of Benefits

  10. Update and Maintain Dual Control Billing Sheets

  11. Dental Software Updates

  12. Daily Recap Updates

  13. Maintain Best Practices

  14. Update and communicate through HIPAA compliant program

  15. Triage Medical Billing, Eligibility and Pre authorization Submissions by priority and with accuracy

  16. Provide weekly updates to Team Lead

  17. Attend or conduct weekly meetings with team

  18. Attend or conduct morning huddle meetings with team

  19. Clock in/out with proper template

Requirements

  • High school Diploma or equivalent.

Minimum of 3 years key knowledge in

  • Dental Office Work Flow

  • Advanced knowledge of Medical Billing for Dental

  • Basic Dental Terminology

  • Basic Medical Billing Terminology

  • Eligibility through Medical Terminology

  • Flow and process of Medical Billing for Dental Understanding

Terms

This position requires willingness to be part of our 3-9 month training program depending on experience and progress of the courses. During this time our MBSA's will be trained on customer service, personality types, and communication. In addition you will become a subject matter expert in Medical Billing for Dental Offices. Our team is dedicated to training up our team in the way they should go. This means a complete reset on customer service and medical billing for dental knowledge from a dental stand point. Our goal is to fully align our Core Values and Mission statement with you to deliver results to our clients. This position comes with full screen and audio recording of all activities while clocked in for work. This is to protect our clients and patients through HIPAA and PHI compliance. Upon completion of our training program our MBSA's will be required to maintain ongoing training to ensure the top level of customer service and knowledge of accounts receivables support for our clients.

Training Period Compensation: During the training period, which spans from 3 to 9 months, employee will receive paid training at the minimum wage rate applicable in their jurisdiction. This training period is designed to equip you with the necessary skills, knowledge, and experience to excel in your role within Dentistry Support. This initial phase will help you become familiar with our systems, processes, and values, enabling you to provide exceptional service to our clients and contribute effectively to our team.


Wage Progression and Transition: Upon successful completion of the training period, employees compensation will transition to the agreed-upon wage that was specified at the time of their hiring. We believe in recognizing the value you bring to our company and want to ensure that your compensation reflects your skills and contributions.


Activation of New Compensation Rate: Please note that the increase in compensation will be activated once employee is assigned to a specific dental practice within our network. This ensures that employee starts receiving the higher wage when they are actively contributing to caring for our dental clients.
